RoadTrip is two epic experiences packed into one incredible day:

• Scenic Route Street Festival | FREE and open to everyone, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, spread across Princess Street and the surrounding downtown blocks.
• Main Stage Concert ️| TICKETED, happening at Springer Market Square, gates open at 5:30 PM, music kicks off at 6:30 PM.

Tickets & Admission

Do I need a ticket?

· Scenic Route Street Festival (daytime): Nope, come on down! It's completely free and open to the public from 10 AM to 5 PM. Just come and enjoy the ride.

· MainStage Concert (evening): Yes! You'll need a ticket to get into Springer Market Square. Gates open at 5:30 PM and the music starts at 6:30 PM, so get there early to grab a great spot.

Are children allowed?

Yes! RoadTrip is all ages; everyone is welcome.

· The Scenic Route Street Festival is family-friendly through and through, bringthe whole crew. Lots of fun awaits!

· The Main Stage Concert is built for a concert crowd rather than a family outing. Expect alcohol, loud music, and a packed, high-energy atmosphere, so plan ahead if you're bringing little ones. Headphones are highly recommended.

Kids 5 and under get in for free at the Main Stage Concert. Anyone over the age of 5needs a ticket.

Can I re-enter the Main Stage?

Yes! Upon arrival, festival staff will scan your ticket and stamp your hand. Once you have a stamp you're free to come and go through the gates as you please. Please note, the bag check policy is in effect upon entry/reentry.

What’s allowed at the Main Stage?

· Empty reusable water bottles (fill up at our water stations on site)

· Small bags or purses (may be subject to search)

· Phones and small point and shoot cameras

· Earplugs

· Factory sealed snacks (no glass packaging please)

· Strollers

· Service animals

· Personal medication (in original packaging, bring ID or a prescription along for controlled substances)

· Lowback or festival chairs (set up in our designated chair area only)

What’s not permitted at the concert?

· Pets

· Outside alcohol

· Glass containers or bottles

· Coolers

· Professional cameras with detachable or large lenses (generally over 3 inches)

· Video recording equipment, tripods, selfie sticks

· Weapons of any kind (knives, firearms, pepper spray)

· Illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia

· Fireworks,flares, smoke bombs

· Laser pointers

· Highback chairs or umbrellas in standing room or stage front areas

· Bicycles, skateboards, scooters within festival grounds

· Unauthorized drones

· Large flags, banners, or poles

· Unauthorized vending or solicitation

Heads up! Security may inspect open containers at their discretion.

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Nope, outside alcohol isn't permitted. We've got you covered with two licensed areas instead, at the Main Stage Concert and the King St Stage!

Is there a bag policy?

Yes, at the Main Stage Concert:

· Clearbags: max 12" x 6" x 12"

· Non clear small bags, fanny packs, or clutches: max 4.5" x 6.5" (about hand sized)

· Backpacks aren't permitted

· All bags may be searched at entry and re entry

The Scenic Route Street Festival is open street festival space, so there's no bag policy there, just leave anything at home you won't want to carry around all day!

Are seats provided?

· Scenic Route Street Festival: Since this is a street festival with vendors, performances, and crowds moving throughout the day, we ask that you leave folding chairs and blankets at home. Keep the street clear so everyone can move around, shop, and enjoy the day. If you need a rest, plenty of downtown patios and benches are close by.

· Main Stage Concert: You'll be dancing the night away, but when you need a breather, there's a designated area near the back of the crowd where you can set up your own low back or festival chair (chairs aren't permitted front of stage). There's also a chill zone in the City Hall amphitheater to kick back and recharge.

Are dogs allowed?

· Scenic Route Street Festival: Yes! Good boys and girls are welcome at the free Scenic Route Street Festival from 10 AM to 5 PM.

· Main Stage Concert: Unfortunately, dogs can't join the fun in the gated Main Stage Concert area in Springer Market Square. Service animals are always welcome though!

Where can I park?

All city parking lots will be open for the day. We recommend Hanson and Chown, both just a short stroll from downtown. Regular city parking rates apply, so check the signage at each lot for details.

Can I bring my bike?

Yes! Roll up to our free Bike Valet, run by our friends at Cycle Kingston. Drop your bike off and volunteers will keep it safe while you soak up every second of the festival stress free. You'll find the valet at Brock St. and Wellington St., open from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Prefer to park it yourself? Secure Urban Rack bike docks can be found at Confederation Park (across from City Hall), Chown Memorial Garage (across from Hotel Dieu Hospital), and the north west corner of Princess St. and Barrie St.

Absolutely, downtown Kingston is super walkable, and every bit of RoadTrip, day and night, is easy to reach on foot.

How do I get there if I don't have a car?

Kingston Transit buses run downtown all day, and local taxi and ride share options are also available.

Food, Drinks & Vendors

Will there be food vendors?

You bet! Both the Scenic Route Street Festival and the Main Stage Concert will have food vendors on site, plus you're just steps away from downtown Kingston's amazing selection of restaurants and cafes.

Will alcohol be served?

Yes, in two licensed areas, both running on a ticket system:

· Scenic Route Street Festival: Between 2:00 PM and 5:30 PM, a licensed area will be open at the King St. Stage on Princess Street between King Street and Ontario Street. Enjoy a live DJ before Tiny Horse and Absolute Treat hit the stage!

· Main Stage Concert: The ticketed Main Stage Concert in Springer Market Square is licensed all evening from 5:30 PM until last call at 10:15 PM

How does purchasing alcohol work?

Look for the ticket tent beside the bar and grab your drink tickets there. Tickets are $10 for beer and cider; while non-alcoholic beverages are $6.

Can I use cash or card?

RoadTripis a cashless event, so bring a debit or credit card! Tap payment is accepted everywhere on site, including at the token tents.

While official RoadTrip purchases are cashless, many of the vendors and local shops in downtown Kingston accept cash.

Where can I fill my water bottle?

· Scenic Route Street Festival: During the daytime street festival, look for the Utilities Kingston Water Buggy on Brock Street at Wellington Street.

· Main Stage Concert: For the evening concert, the Water Buggy moves over to Springer Market Square. There's also a refill station in the basement of City Hall available all day.

Weather & Safety

Where can I get medical help?

· Scenic Route Street Festival: Frontenac Bike Paramedics will circulate throughout the daytime festivities.

· Main Stage Concert: For the evening event at Springer Market Square, the Canadian Ski Patrol will be on site, look for their tent onthe Brock Street side of the Square. Ski Patrol volunteers will circulate through the crowd too.

· Kingston City Police will also be on site for the evening event.

What if it rains?

RoadTrip happens rain or shine, so come dressed for the weather and let's have fun no matter what! In the case of extreme or severe weather, organizers will share announcements on site and across our social channels about any pauses or schedule changes. Your safety comes first, so please follow the direction of staff and security at all times.

Where can I store my bag?

No, we don't have bag check or lockers on site, so plan to keep your belongings with you throughout the day.

Will security be on site?

Yes, both a hired professional security team and City of Kingston police officers will be on hand throughout the event.

What should I do in a medical emergency?

First, call 911. Then flag the nearest staff member, volunteer, or security team member; they'll help direct paramedics or Ski Patrol right to you.

Is there Wi-Fi on site?

Yes! City of Kingston public Wi-Fi is available in Springer Market Square.

Are there ATMs on site?

No need, RoadTrip is cashless! All vendors and bars accept debit and credit. If you really need cash, there are ATMs at several bank branches downtown.

Can I charge my phone somewhere?

No charging stationson site, so we recommend arriving with a full battery or bringing a portable charger along for the day.

Is there a lost and found?

Yes, head to the merch tent if you've lost something (or found something)!

Where are washrooms?

· Main Stage Concert: In Springer Market Square, you'll find a row of porta potties near the main entrance gate.

· Public washrooms are also available beneath City Hall and at the Visitor Information Centre in Confederation Park.

· Thee are plenty of amazing downtown businesses close by that have washrooms for their customers

Will seating be provided? Where?

· Scenic Route Street Festival: Find multiple benches and patios lining the festival streets.

· Main Stage Concert: There's a designated area near the back of the crowd (not front of stage) to put your own chair, plus the City Hall amphitheater serves as a chill-out zone whenever you need a break.

Are there sensory-friendly areas?

Yes! Chill Zones are available at two locations during the evening event. The City Hall amphitheatre offers a quieter space away from the Main Stage speakers, accessible from both the north (ramp access) and south sides of the building. A second Chill Zone is located in Confederation Park, just on the other side of City Hall near the water.

Both areas are designed for anyone who needs alower-sensory break during the event.

Where can I access water?

Water refill stations are available at the Utilities Kingston Water Buggy (Brock and Wellington during the day, Springer Market Square in the evening) and at the refill station in the basement of City Hall, available all day long.

Where can I find first aid?

Frontenac Bike Paramedics circulate during the day time festival, and the Canadian Ski Patrol tent is set up on the Brock Street side of Springer Market Square during the evening event.

Where are the emergency exits?

Flag down the nearest staff member, volunteer, or security team member any time, they're trained to help you exit quickly and safely, or bring first aid right to you if you're not able to move.

Accessibility

Can wheelchairs access the stages?

Yes! The festival footprint follows paved downtown streets and sidewalks, and Springer Market Square has a paved, flat surface. Staff are happy to point you toward the smoothest accessible routes if you need a hand.

Is there a designated accessible viewing area?

A designated accessible viewing area is set up at the Main Stage, off to the side of the general standing area for clear sightlines. It's first come, first served, so look for signage or ask a staff member for directions when you arrive.

Where can I find accessible washrooms?

Accessible portapotties are included among the washroom units at the Main Stage Concert, and the public washrooms beneath City Hall are fully accessible too.

Is accessible parking close to the entrance?

Accessible parking spaces are available in the Hanson and Chown parking lots, both just a short, flat distance to the festival entrance at Springer Market Square.

Are there accessible entrances at each site?

Yes! Downtown Kingston's core is full of curb cuts and ramps, and the Main Stage entrance gate is accessible at street level with no stairs.

Are service animals permitted on site?

Yes! Service animals are always welcome, at both the Scenic Route Street Festival and the Main Stage Concert.
